The COVID-19 North Dakota Business Briefing call is one of many informational efforts by the Economic Resiliency Team. Led by the North Dakota Department of Commerce, the team was created to implement a coordinated approach to mitigating the impact of COVID-19.
The purpose of the Economic Resiliency Team is to provide just-in-time information to businesses and employers in a rapidly changing environment; ensure a whole-of-government approach by coordinating COVID-19 information and resources across all state agencies that interact with businesses, so employers and businesses do not have to navigate these systems on their own; and position state government as a trusted provider of accurate and timely business and employer resources relating to this pandemic, including but not limited to:
- Dedicating researchers to understand federal legislation as it relates to employers and employees and translate to action;
- Launching a ONE-stop web page with COVID19-related employer resources combining information from across ALL of state government (this page is developing hourly);
- Coordinating state efforts with local and regional chambers and economic development organizations so that efforts are not duplicated.
- Creating a joint effort led by the North Dakota Department of Commerce in partnership with the Greater North Dakota Chamber in response of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis.
The briefing call is one of many methods bringing North Dakota leaders, businesses and employers together to discuss updates, information and resources pertaining to COVID-19.
The COVID-19 Business Briefing call will occur every Thursday at 11 a.m. CT over the next four weeks. The schedule is subject to change to reflect the evolution of COVID-19 and the related impacts to businesses and employers.
