Over the weekend, the North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) public health lab tested four individuals for novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). All tests came back negative. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue designated 16 North Dakota counties as primary natural disaster areas. Producers who suffered losses caused by five separate disaster events may be eligible for U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) emergency loans.

Gov. Doug Burgum and other state officials today provided an update and highlighted statewide efforts in response to COVID-19. No cases have been reported in North Dakota and the risk remains low; however, ongoing community spread has been identified in multiple other states. North Dakotans play a key role in reducing the impact of COVID-19 in the state.
