Morton County to Staff Additional Personnel for Equipment Removal
- Mandan, N.D. - Morton County Sheriff's Department has been advised of Dakota Access Pipeline's (DAPL) plan to remove their equipment from specific construction sites in Morton County. Law enforcement will be in the area Tuesday, September 13th, to maintain public safety as equipment is removed.
- "I have requested that Dakota Access Pipeline inform the Morton County Sheriff's Department of their plans. This request is to ensure that public safety is paramount for all of us; to include, DAPL workers, protesters and law enforcement officers. This type of group effort will help ensure DAPL can remove their property in a safe manner," said Morton County Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier.
