Tavis Flood Control Structure Operating as Designed

Bismarck, ND—The Burleigh County Tavis Flood Control Structure is operating as designed—to protect critical infrastructure (Wastewater Treatment Plant) and area residents.  The pumps automatically started after midnight and are continuing to function.  The area has received two, large rainfall events in a short amount of time, and current street flooding is due to the size of the rain events.  Burleigh County will continue to operate the Tavis Flood Control Gates and Pumps according to the Burleigh County Flood Annex. test
