Mandan, N.D. – Today, the Morton County Sheriff’s Department is releasing a video ahead of and in response to numerous out-of-state veterans reportedly coming to North Dakota to join the protest camps. As Raymond Morrell, a local North Dakota veteran, explains military members take an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution, so it is questionable why any veteran would participate in a protest that includes unlawful activities.
In addition, the North Dakota Veterans Organizations have told the Veterans Standing with Standing Rock that they oppose their so-called “deployment” to North Dakota and have reached out to veterans asking them not to participate.
